I'm looking for a new car because my old beater is finally dying. I'm a college student with $5-6k to spend and I want something fun and sporty. There are a few 1990 or 1991 300ZX TTs in the area, but they all have 120-140k miles. Is buying a Z with such high mileage a stupid idea? For what it's worth, they all have the usual 120k maintenance done - new timing belt and tensioner, water pump, camshaft oil seals, etc. However, they don't have rebuilt engines or turbos. How reliable are these vehicles at 120k+ miles? Obviously it depends on the previous owners, but in general? Also, what's up with the injectors? It seems every Z I find has replaced or "cleaned" injectors. Are they poorly designed or something? Thanks.
